Northern Colorado Nightmare Blowout Mile High Eagles, Looking Towards First Place

The Northern Colorado Nightmare took another step towards first place in the Championship Football League with a 55-0 win over the Mile High Eagles. In back to back weeks The Nightmare have put up 50+ point shutouts. On the season, Northern Colorado has scored 156 points in three played games and a two-point forfeit victory.

The Nightmare strengths continued to shine with limited weaknesses shown overall. NoCo’s dominant running ran over the Eagles behind solid effort from D’Heaven Domena. Juju Banks continued his dancing with the stars like improvising moves and long bombs to the end zone.

The Darkside Defense came up strong with numerous turnovers including Omar and Orlando Rivera both securing interceptions. It was a special moment for the brothers and also a great nod to Hod Soto who coached the two at The Nightmare and Roosevelt High School. Londo had great awareness in a “play of the year” type moment as he made his interception and then pitched the ball backwards to Quan Southward who scored a defensive touchdown.

The Nightmare average 52 points per game in played games. The Colorado Springs Flames still hold first place with 164 points in four played games averaging 41 points per game. The two teams will play later this season July 12th in “The Boneyard” at District 6 Stadium.
