The Northern Colorado Nightmare semi-pro football team are off to a fast start to the season with three victories and no points allowed this season. In their two wins and one forfeit victory the Nightmare have scored 103 points in three games. Thanks to stout defensive performances the Nightmare have yet to concede a point on defense.
The Nightmare were supposed to start their season against an Arizona based team, but the team did not field enough players to be able to play the game, resulting in a Nightmare of victory of 2 to 0.
For the second victory of the season, the Nightmare traveled to South Dakota, where they faced new CFL team, the war Eagles and won in dominating fashion 48 to 0 at O’Hara Stadium on the South Dakota School of Mines campus.

The Nightmare’s third victory of the season came against the Loveland Elite with a walloping finish of 53 to 0. The first quarter was the beginning of the end for the Elite as a Nightmare took a commanding 30 to 0 lead. Juju Banks and D’heaven Domena terrorized Loveland’s defense all night long with long passes and hard fought runs. Loveland did not do themselves any favors as they had multiple fumbles and interceptions along with giving up double digit sacks. It was truly an impressive margin of how much more physical and talented the Nightmare team appeared.
Northern Colorado’s next opponent will be the Mile High Eagles on Saturday, June 14 in “The Boneyard” at District 6 Stadium in Greeley Colorado. The Eagles are 3-1 on the season scoring 129 points and conceding 79 points so far on the season. Last week, the Eagles beat last year CFL runner-up the Colorado sting 41 to 30. Whichever team wins this weekend will solidify the second place position for several weeks in the CFL.
